Most of our cells use 1/16" OD x .040" ID (1.6mm OD x 1.0mm ID) tubbing. The recommended products from our suppliers are tubing 1/16" OD x .040" ID ETFA. Each fitting comprises the nut, ferrule, and an additional O-Ring (ID 1.5 mm CS 1.0 mm or ID 1.78 mm CS 1.78 mm).
Sometimes when a higher flow is needed, we use (3 mm OD x 2 mm ID). In this case, the remaining fixing elements are selected individually for the application.
The use of other sizes of tubes is due to design requirements, especially for custom-made cells.
The materials used for tubing are PFA, ETFE, PTFE, and PEEK.
