Wipe your wand clean with some Pre Cleanse as you apply if not using the wandom. Keep your Fluffer handy with some pre-cleanse on it, and wipe your wand clean. This will ensure there is no bond, or stickiness on your wand.
The wandom was designed to prevent stickiness, you may prefer to apply and fuse without the wandom at first for more precision. You can also use this trick to clean the wandom. To sanitize your wand or wandom, use alcohol to wipe clean!
